"It's a little unusual but then, I enjoy running and just go inside - I'm not defending that much," he said.

"I warn my centre-back 'I'm not hanging back' and that I'm just going to continue running.

"The running is what I'm looking for. It's good fun."

Along with Cisse's six scores on debut, Stephen Ireland has netted 8 in 3 appearances for the side, while George Boyd hit 5 on his debut appearance and Joleon Lescott, a defender by trade, scored a hat-trick in one game up front.

Wythenshawe are top of the Top Division with 3 wins from 3 and a GD of +19.

One opponent, thirty-eight, who plays on the flank for the opposition, came up against former Latics defender Figueroa on the weekend - and had to tell his nine-year-old son who Emile Heskey was.

Figueroa has appeared at 2 global tournaments for Honduras, in addition to playing in over 200 Premier League games.

"It was spreading like wildfire they had these ex-Premier League stars," said Barrow.

"I felt I was a bit starstruck playing against Figueroa to be honest.

"Even Heskey came on and he's got over 60 English caps.

"Our side competed well for a solid twenty minutes but then we had a man sent off and it was hard.

"We literally haven't stopped talking about it - I was phoning my mum and brother on the way home.

"They were all really nice, shaking our hands after the match - it was like facing a group of regular fellas.

"Now we are eager for the second fixture."
