In a bizarre partnership that defies usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal announcement, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and fearsome transformations resonate through the darkness." The narrative features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine sect.
The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
